The ultimate peak - in both mountain roads and luxury.

The ultimate peak - in both mountain roads and luxury.

We love the Balkan Rally too much to go through all those emotions just once a year. That’s why we launched a shorter, less competitive version in late spring/early summer, heading to a new Central European destination each year.

For the next edition, we’ve dreamed big: we’re going to the most iconic car-enthusiast destination in Europe: The Chedi Andermatt. Ranked among the top 10 hotels in Europe and top 50 worldwide, it’s nestled in the Swiss Alps, surrounded by eight legendary high-mountain passes. There’s simply no place higher in terms of mountain roads and elegance.

In just 4 nights / 5 days, we’ll pack in 3 full days of epic drives. We’ll start in Vienna, boarding the famous Vienna–Feldkirch night train and waking up at the Austrian–Liechtenstein–Swiss border. From there, our first unforgettable ride takes us through Switzerland’s most iconic ski resorts and across some of the weekend’s most remarkable passes, before rolling into the epitome of Swiss mountain towns: Andermatt.

The crown jewel of the trip will be our main driving day: a loop from The Chedi Andermatt back to the same spot, crossing the world’s most famous passes, including the legendary Furka Pass, home to the Wes Anderson–movie-like Belvedere Hotel, perched at one of the most photographed hairpin turns in history.

The Swiss Wonder

Three days driving through iconic mountain passes, with an unforgettable overnight train experience, topped off by spending nights in a legendary luxury hotel.

Day 1

13 June 2026 | Saturday
Vienna–Feldkirch overnight train

We load our cars in Vienna onto the train and board the overnight ride to Feldkirch, kicking off the adventure on board with a night full of laughs, stories, and good vibes.

Day 2

14 June 2026 | Sunday
Scenic drive from Feldkirch to Andermatt

We arrive in Feldkirch at sunrise, then hit the legendary Alpine passes, driving through breathtaking landscapes and iconic Swiss ski resorts. Along the way, we tackle the historic Tremola San Gottardo, Switzerland’s longest road monument and one of Europe’s highest paved roads with its 24 dramatic hairpin bends. By evening, we roll into the luxury Chedi Andermatt for some well-deserved hedonism.

Day 3

15 June 2026 | Monday
Epic loop across legendary Alpine passes

On our main driving day, we tackle the Alps’ most legendary passes, starting with the Furka Pass, where cinematic curves and the Rhone Glacier below make you feel straight out of a James Bond scene. We continue over the Grimsel Pass, winding through high-altitude landscapes dotted with mountain lakes, before descending into the verdant valleys via the Susten Pass, where turquoise rivers and dramatic cliffs line the road. Finally, the Oberalp Pass offers a gentler climb with panoramic views of the Ursern valley and the turquoise Oberalp Lake. By the end of the day, we loop back to Andermatt to relax in the spa and enjoy a gourmet dinner.

Day 4-5

16-17 June 2026 | Tuesday, Wednesday
Heading back to Feldkirch and Vienna

On the final day, we head back to Feldkirch via a different scenic route, crossing the Klausen Pass with its dramatic Alpine landscapes, historic villages, and winding roads, enjoy a leisurely dinner along the way, and toast the unforgettable moments and relive the trip’s highlights on the overnight train ride home. We arrive back to Vienna the next morning.

    FAQ

Cherished, thrilling vehicles you’d love to drive along Europe’s most iconic mountain passes. Our goal is to gather a unique collection of cars in The Chedi Andermatt’s parking lot, so please coordinate with us about which car you’ll bring. Unfortunately, convertibles cannot be transported on the train.

Our partners offer a limited selection of special vehicles for rent. Contact us for details, and we’ll help you find the perfect vehicle.

Not at all! While it’s more comfortable with a travel companion, there are always participants who complete the route solo. Our standard package includes accommodation in a double room, so you’ll share with another guest. If you prefer to stay alone, there’s no problem at The Chedi Andermatt – you can opt for our single-room supplement. Private sleeper cabins are not available on the train.

Around 10 PM, the ÖBB Nightjet departs from Vienna towards Switzerland, while our vehicles are loaded onto the attached car transport wagons roughly an hour and a half earlier. We spend the night on board in 2–4 person sleeper cabins and arrive in Feldkirch around 8 AM. On the return leg, the schedule is very similar: the train departs from Feldkirch at 10 PM and reaches Vienna around 7 AM.

Although in different styles, one thing is certain: every night will be unforgettable. We spend the first and last nights on the Austrian ÖBB Nightjet in 2–4 person sleeper cabins. Our vehicles are transported on wagons attached to the train, so we don’t have to drive across Austria to reach the Swiss Alps. The 2-person sleeper cabins are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The train ticket includes a light breakfast, and additional food and drinks can be purchased from the onboard staff.

Between the two train journeys, we indulge in world-class luxury, spending 2 nights in the Swiss Alps at The Chedi Andermatt, ranked among the top 50 hotels worldwide. The overnight train adventure is balanced by Michelin-starred cuisine, a 2,400 m² spa, and stunning interiors. Single rooms are available at The Chedi Andermatt for an extra fee, but single sleeper cabins on the train cannot be booked.

We’re happy to assist in getting your vehicle to the starting location on time. Based on your car or motorcycle’s specifications and your departure location, we will provide a custom transport offer.

If you are not an EU citizen, please check with your country’s embassy website to determine if you require a visa for entry.

All the countries we pass through (Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland) accept both passports and valid EU national ID cards for border crossings. A driver’s license is not considered a valid travel document.

We meet at Vienna’s train station, where the overnight train departs and carries us all the way to Feldkirch, at the Austrian–Liechtenstein–Swiss border. From there, we dive into the Alpine passes of Switzerland, only leaving the mountains on our way back, when we return to Feldkirch and then board the return train to Vienna.

In Europe’s most iconic driving destination, the legendary high Alpine passes, hairpin turns, and winding roads of the Swiss Alps await, set against a breathtaking backdrop.

The train ticket includes a light breakfast. At The Chedi Andermatt, we enjoy a truly exceptional culinary experience with a generous breakfast and outstanding multi-course dinners, both included in the package. Additional meals feature a variety of local specialties, which we explore together as a group, though they are individually covered.

All participants must have valid travel insurance for the countries covered during the rally. Contact us, and we’ll be happy to help you find the best option for you.
