Prosecco buzz & unforgettable passes in the Dolomites

Prosecco buzz & unforgettable passes in the Dolomites

– Italy as you’ve never seen it before.

After the Balkan Rally and Swiss Wonder, Northern Italy simply had to join the Scenic Routes series – and that’s how Prosecco Ride was born. A lighter yet characterful journey, where curve hunting is paired with flavors, landscapes and a deliberately slower rhythm.

A route that’s just as much about driving as it is about what happens between the corners.
In just a few days, we cover routes that strike the perfect balance between driving and stopping: the adventure starts in Hungary, through Slovenia, then for three nights a historic castle becomes our base – setting off from here toward the passes of the Dolomites and into the heart of the Prosecco region along the Strada del Prosecco. The days end with winery visits, vineyard-set dinners and shared evenings. This is not a rushed tour – it’s the kind of journey meant to be savored.

Scenic Routes 2027

14-17 May 2027
Prosecco Ride

Three days of driving through iconic mountain passes and among the dunes of the Prosecco region, crowned with three nights in a historic castle hotel.

Day 1

14 May 2027 | Friday
Budapest → Cison di Valmarino

On the first day, the all-time favorite Slovenia will dominate the scene, as most of the team will cross the entire country after starting in Hungary - of course, it is possible to join at any point along the way. From there, we roll into the hills of Northern Italy, and by the end of the day the majestic outlines of the Dolomites guide us into Castel Brando - a castle originally built atop a mountain in the first century, which will serve as our base for three nights. Before some well-earned wellness time and dinner, we’re invited down into the castle’s centuries-old cellars for a wine tasting - a vibe that feels as if the castle’s hidden past were opened just for us.

Day 2

15 May 2027 | Saturday

Dolomites loop

On the main driving day, we head into the Dolomites - and not just on any road. The legendary La Grande Strada delle Dolomiti awaits, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful mountain panorama roads in the world. Serpentine roads winding between towering peaks, dramatic rock faces, pine forests, and perfectly placed viewpoints define the route and set the tone for the day from the very first kilometers.
Before lunch, we take a cable car up to Cinque Torri - the Dolomites’ iconic five-towered rock formation - where a light hike gets us moving and immersed in the landscape. From there, we continue driving among alpine lakes and mountain streams, with every section of the road revealing a new, memorable view. By the end of the day, we roll back into the castle, where a shared dinner crowns the experience.

Day 3

16 May 2027 | Sunday

Prosecco loop

The following day, we dive into the very best of the Prosecco region. In the morning, we drive along the Strada del Prosecco – Italy’s first wine road, stretching between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene – where rolling vineyards with roots reaching back to Roman times and an UNESCO-protected landscape set the scene. We only break the route when a village or a castle is simply too beautiful to pass by. After lunch, we switch to transfers and visit the region’s finest wineries, tasting what has made this area world-famous. Grapes are still harvested by hand here, following the tradition of so-called “heroic winemaking,” a practice that defines the character and uniqueness of the local wines. The day ends with a truly special experience: dinner set among the vineyard rows, where the sunset and the prosecco together shape the atmosphere of the evening.

Day 4-5

17-18 May 2027 | Monday-Tuesday
Cison di Valmarino → Budapest

On Monday, after a hearty breakfast, we head home. The return journey is individual, but we provide two route suggestions - a faster option and a more scenic alternative - so everyone can wrap up the weekend at their own pace. If you choose the scenic route and aren’t in a rush, you can also join us for an optional add-on night at Hotel Bohinj in Slovenia. Alongside exclusive wellness facilities, you’ll get to admire the picturesque Bohinj Lake and enjoy a standout steak dinner to round off the journey.

    FAQ

With a well-loved, exciting machine you’d genuinely enjoy driving through Italy’s most iconic mountain roads. Our goal is to bring together a special lineup of vehicles in the castle hotel parking lot, so please check in with us in advance about the car you’d like to join with. Of course, if you don't have your own vehicle, we will help you find the right one.

Our hungarian and italian partners offer a limited selection of special vehicles for rent. Contact us for details, and we will help you find the most suitable vehicle for you, depending on whether you are leaving Hungary with the team or joining in Italy.

Not at all. While it’s more comfortable with a co-driver, there are always participants who do the route solo. Our base package includes accommodation in double occupancy, so you’ll share a room with another participant. If you’d prefer your own room, that’s also possible at Castel Brando - simply choose the single-room add-on.

We spend the first three nights at the Italian castle hotel Castel Brando - truly one of a kind. Beyond its historical significance, it features an exceptional wellness area, excellent cuisine, and well-appointed rooms. As an add-on, guests can spend an extra night at Slovenia’s Hotel Bohinj, one of the country’s top hotels, with outstanding outdoor program options.

Absolutely. We can help arrange safe trailer transport for your vehicle all the way to Castel Brando. Pricing is provided as a custom quote based on your car or motorcycle specifications and the pickup location.

If you are not an EU citizen, please check with your country’s embassy website to determine if you require a visa for entry.

All countries on our route (Slovenia and Italy) accept both a passport and, for EU citizens, a valid national ID card. A driver’s license is not considered a valid travel document.

We pass through Slovenia, stopping only for lunch. The rest of the road trip takes place in Northern Italy.

Expect some of Italy’s most iconic mountain roads - the Dolomites’ legendary high-alpine passes, hairpins and switchbacks in an incredible setting. After that, we explore the rolling vineyard hills of the Prosecco region.

The trip includes 3 x 2 meals. Breakfast is at the hotel, while dinners are planned at a variety of places so we can experience some of the country’s most distinctive flavors.

All participants must have valid travel insurance for the countries covered during the rally. Contact us, and we’ll be happy to help you find the best option for you.
